Abstract

ERRATUM

The authors of this paper regret to advise that the following corrections are required in order to rectify copyright infringement of the Morisky Medication Adherence scale (MMAS-8) – a retroactive license has been obtained.

  1. Article “Medication adherence in outpatients with arterial hypertension” authored by Jelena Lalić, RadmilaVeličković-Radovanović, Branka Mitić, Valentina Nikolić, Ana Spasić, Goran Koraćević published in Volume 30/issue 4/pages 209-218.

  2. DOI of the original article - 10.2478/afmnai-2013-0013.

  3. A statement is to be added to Table1 to acknowledge the copyright of MMAS. The Table 1 is to be added in Patients and methods section as follows:

    Information on the patient’s health and their adherence was obtained through face-to-face interviews with the participants using the validated survey form for medication adherence - 8-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) translated into Serbian for the present study (Morisky et al. 2008; Krousel-Wood et al. 2009; Morisky and DiMatteo 2011).
  1. The corrected text under the second paragraph in the Patients and methods section should read as follows:
    Response categories are yes/no for each item with a dichotomous response and a5-point Likert response for the last item.
  1. This text is to be added in the second paragraph in the Patients and methods section:
    The total MMAS-8 scores are interpreted as follows: low adherence (score <6), medium adherence (score 6 to <8) and high adherence (score = 8) (Morisky et al. 2008; Krousel-Wood et al. 2009; Morisky and DiMatteo 2011).
  1. The corrected text under the third paragraph in the Patients and methods section should read as follows:
    Adherent group (I) consisted of patients who showed high and medium level of adherence according to the MMAS-8.
