Abstract

e authors analyze the modern approach in treating infertility by means of the assisted reproduction method, procedure, benefit, as well as many ethical questions, which arise from the very conception of the embryo: the controversial commencement of pregnancy, a new paradigm in the understanding of life, human rights, family and religious issues, the treatment of the “surplus” of embryo, the issue of surrogate parenting, donors, embryo experiments, commercialization of re
production, providing adequate information and legal solutions for these complex problems. Progress in this area of medical science and technology requires casting more light into the much of the last ethical unknown and many dilemmas when it comes to the issue of assisted reproductive technology.
